Cypress Telescoping Hive Cover For 5 Frame Nuc (assembled) The telescoping hive cover (telescopes) over the inner cover and protects the hive from rain and harsh weather. The top is covered with white heavy-duty aluminum which covers the top and 1” down the side of the cover.  The corners are folded together and stapled to ensure a waterproof top. The sides are made of 2 ½” cypress wood and designed not to blow off on windy days. This cover will protect your bees for many years to come. The picture represents the materials used to assemble the cover and not the specific item you will received. Cy press lasts longer and handles the weather better than a beehive made with pine. All of my wooden-ware  is made to exacting specifications in my state-of-the-art workshop.
