Antique NO DAMAGE Victorian Metal Mesh Clutch Bag Beaded Clasp and Frame / Gold Tone ===== description This beauty is a Victorian style metal mesh woman's clutch bag.  The bag measures 6" long and 5" wide when relaxed.  The 5" width stretches to 9" wide,  The wrist strap is 11" long with a 5" drop.  Based on my exhaustive research that I enjoyed immensely the metal mesh is most likely silver.  The examples I found online all had the same gold or bronze tone color.  I made no attempt to polish the metal.  Note that this is just my best guess.  Thirteen clear gems adorn the frame.  Four clear gems adorn the clasp.  The gems are held in place with metal prongs.  The inside pocket is either silk or satin.  The probable age is late 1800s to early 1900x.  The probable origin is Germany. ===== condition This beauty has no visible damage- no breaks to the mesh, no separation from the frame, no crimps to strap and no damage to the frame.  The single clasp works perfectly. Lining is clean and intact. My antique Victorian clutch bag is as described herein, that is, 100+ years old with NO VISIBLE DAMAGE.
